Updates on Adiponectin by Dr. T

I came upon the article "Adiponectin in insulin resistance: lessons from translational research" from the January, 2010 issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.As I have discussed before adiponectin is a fatty tissue hormone that sensitizes insulin. Weight gain lowers its concentrations increasing the risk on new onset Type II Diabetes Mellitus.Here are some highlights of the article: - normal levels are 5-30 mcg/mL.
